 DCEO Tourism Grant Programs The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has launched two tourism grant programs to attract, develop and improve new and existing tourism-related projects, events and festivals to boost tourism across the state. DCEO is accepting applications (available via this link) for the Tourism Private Sector Grant Program. The program will provide a total of $4.6 million to municipalities, counties, not-for-profit organizations, for-profit entities and local promotion groups to match funds from sources in the private sector for the purpose of attracting and hosting tourism events and developing new events in Illinois. The deadline to apply is Monday, December 4, at 5:00 p.m. CT. DCEO is also accepting applications (available via this link) for the Tourism Attractions Grant Program. The program will provide a total of $10.8 million for the development or improvement of tourism attractions in Illinois, such as museums, recreation centers and amusement parks. Eligible applicants include municipalities, counties and other tourism-related entities. The deadline to apply is Monday, December 18, at 5:00 p.m. CT.  DCEO Back to Business NewBiz Program DCEO announced in a press release (available via this link) that a total of $25 million is available through the Back to Business (B2B) NewBiz program. The program is designed to provide additional support for businesses that launched during the pandemic. The application process opens Thursday, November 30.
