Burn Ban Press Release from Fire Chief - 6-11-2020
** PRESS RELEASE **

To assist citizens whom may develop respiratory symptoms related to COVID-19, the burn ban in effect for the City of East Moline will continue thru June of 2020 prohibiting the burning of leaves, yard waste, refuse and construction materials.

Sticks and twigs (storm debris) may be burned.

Small recreational fires or cooking fires (campfire) are allowed, recreational fires are limited by the fire code to maximum fuel load size of 3 feet in diameter by 2-foot-high and should consist of dry natural sticks and logs.

Per the East Moline Fire Department - the burn ban is still in place for the burning of yard waste. Recreation campfires/firepits are permissible.
