Traffic Crash Reports
As of February 1, 2015, the East Moline Police Department has partnered with Appriss for digital traffic crash reports. If you are involved in an accident, you are entitled to a free drivers exchange report. The report is available online. If you don't have access to the internet you can get a free drivers exchange copy at the police department. If you would like a copy of the complete crash report, they can be purchased online for $13. Typically, an involved motorist would not need a complete copy of the crash report. Check with your insurance agent for advice.
Individuals may obtain a redacted copy of a police report by filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for a minimal fee. A FOIA request may be picked up at city hall, the police department, or downloaded from this website. Note: A report will not be available the same day.
A court ordered subpoena is required to obtain copies of complete police reports. Submit the subpoena to the Records Custodian, East Moline Police Department, 915 16th Avenue, East Moline, Illinois 61244. Your request may be submitted in person or by mail.
