Plant Superintendent Wastewater Treatment Plant
Job Description
The City of East Moline is accepting applications for the position of Plant Superintendent for the Waste Water Treatment Plant. Primary function will be overall operations of the wastewater treatment plant, including process control, laboratory testing, and record keeping and permit reporting.
Applicant must possess an Illinois EPA Class 1 Wastewater Operator's License or have the ability to obtain within the required time frame, degree in chemistry, biology, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and training. This position commands management skills, budget experience and thorough knowledge of wastewater operations. Must be able to instruct & train personnel, monitor daily operations, perform a variety of chemical and bacteriological tests to keep plant in compliance, and maintain a safe work environment. Basic working knowledge of personal computer, including Word and Excel and data bases; must possess good written and verbal skills.
