The City of East Moline is in the process of adopting the 2009 International Codes for building, existing buildings, residential, energy, mechanical, property maintenance, and fuel gas. Please call with any questions.
A PERMIT IS NEEDED FOR THE APPROACH. Although residential driveways do not need a permit ALL APPROACHES WILL NEED TO BE INSPECTED BEFORE THE DRIVEWAY CAN BE POURED. The Building Inspector will do the approach inspections.
Please be advised that all commercial and residential new construction, additions, renovations, and repairs shall now require Comcheck or Rescheck to be submitted with the permit application.
Please be advised that as of April 22, 2010 all contractors that work on properties built before 1978 need to complete the EPA's Lead-Safe Certified Program, required by EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule.
