MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE
MAYOR AND THE COMMITTEE-OF-THE-WHOLE
OF THE CITY OF EAST MOLlNE ILLINOIS
OCTOBER 18, 2004
ROLL CALL
Mayor Moreno called the meeting to order and directed Deputy City Clerk Kathryn VenHuizen, to call the roll. The following Aldermen were present: Helen Heiland, Luis Puentes, Luis Moreno, Carol Doose, Rick Meredith, Gary Kelley and Crotis Teague.
SALE OF OLD SQUAD CAR – Cpt. Fuller
The Police Department has an old squad car that was not used for trade in upon purchase of the replacement or needed for use by other City Departments. Reynolds Ford appraised the squad at $1,500.00 and has offered to purchase it at that price.
A motion was made by Alderman Meredith, seconded by Alderman Moreno, to approve the sale of surplus equipment and direct the City Attorney to draft the necessary papers. Upon voice vote all those in attendance voted in favor.
10th STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT - Willemarck
A contract agreement has been received from McClure Engineering for the design, bidding phases to replace the Water Main on 10th Street from 17th Avenue to 21st Avenue. This is the next water project listed on the W/S Capital Improvement Plan.
A motion was held by Alderman Doose, seconded by Alderman Kelley, to approve the contract with McClure Engineering for the design & bidding for Water Main Replacement on 10th Street between 17th to 21st Avenue for a cost not to exceed $11,060. Upon voice vote all those in attendance voted in favor.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Alderman Kelley, seconded by Alderman Doose, to adjourn the meeting. Upon roll call the following voted in favor: Heiland, Puentes, Moreno, Doose, Meredith, Kelley and Teague.
