MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE
Mayor Moreno called the meeting to order and directed the City Clerk Arletta D. Holmes, to call the roll. The following Alderman were presented: Helen Heiland, John Thodos, Luis Moreno, Carol Doose, Rick Meredith, Gary Kelley and Crotis Teague.
LABOR DAY PARADE ( Steve Verdick)
The Quad City Labor Day Parade Alliance, is requesting to have the Labor Day Parade in East Moline on September 3,2001 at 11:OOa.m. Recommendation to approve request. Budget Impact: Possible minor cost for Police and Maintenance Service Department Assistance.
A motion was made by Alderman Doose, seconded by Alderman Teague to approve Quad City Labor Day Parade request. Upon voice vote. Unanimous Motion carried.

Maintenance Services received competitive bids for the following: 2 - Large dump trucks, 1 - Superduty dump with snowplow and spreader,1 - Superduty dump truck, 1 - Ranger 4x4 pickup

A motion was made by Alderman Thodos, and seconded by Alderman Kelley to accept all low bids as presented. Upon roll call the following voted in favor: Doose, Meredith, Kelley, Teague, Heiland, Thodos and Moreno. Motion carried.
SWIMMING POOL ORDINANCE (Butch Motzer)
After review of the swimming pool ordinance we found that the Electrical Section of the swimming pool ordinance did not coincide with the 1999 electrical code as adopted by the City. Recommend to approve the following update to the swimming pool ordinance, so that all information is current and consistent.
A motion was made by Alderman Thodos, seconded by Alderman Kelley to approve the request as presented. Upon roll call the following voted in favor: Doose, Meredith, Kelley, Teague, Heiland, Thodos and Moreno. Motion carried.
HANDICAPPED PARKING SPACE (Chief Freeman)
Pulled from agenda, Chief Freeman will handle this matter internally.
A motion was made by Alderman Doose, seconded by Alderman Kelley, to adjourn meeting. Upon roll call the following voted in favor: Doose, Meredith, Kelley, Teague, Heiland, Thodos, and Moreno. Motion Carried. 7:42p.m.
