Property Maintenance |
In East Moline we adhere to the 2003 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC). This code provides a minimum standard for living to protect the health and safety of both the inhabitant and the surrounding public. The IPMC applies to all properties.
Conditions that determine a property to be substandard are as follows:
- Inadequate Sanitation
- Hazardous Plumbing
- Weatherproofing
- Faulty Materials of Construction
- Inadequate Exits
- Inadequate or Hazardous Fire-protection
- Structural Hazards
- Hazardous Electrical Wiring
- Hazardous Mechanical Equipment
- Hazardous or Unsanitary Premises
- Improper Occupancy
If you believe a property is in violation of the IPMC, you may contact us to request an inspection at 752-1599 and based on the nature of your complaint you will be directed to the appropriate inspector.
