East Moline's Residential Spring Clean‐up 2013 will be the week of April 15th through April 19th. Residents should put collection items to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on their regular garbage collection day. Do not use garbage cans for disposal, containers will be taken. There will be a 50 lbs. weight limit and items that will not be collected are white good appliances, tires, hazardous waste, construction material, tv's and yard waste.
The Watertown Volunteer Clean‐up will be Saturday, April 20th, 8:30 to noon. Volunteers should meet at 8:00 a.m. at the fire station located at 1523 Morton Drive East Moline. Breakfast and lunch will be provided by the City and Watertown Neighborhood Watch.
The Nancy Tragarz Annual Spring Clean up for Downtown East Moline will be Saturday, April 20th from 8:30 to noon. Volunteers are to meet at the Amvet's Hall at 827 15th Avenue. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.

2013 Curbside Recycling Schedule 2013 Holiday Garbage Schedule

It is requested by the City that refuse be ready for pickup by 7:00 a.m. (6:00 a.m. during the months of June, July and August). Garbage refuse must be placed in plastic garbage bags before placing in regular garbage cans. Garbage cans are not required, however, the owner will be responsible for the condition of the plastic bags at collection time.
There is a limit of eight (8) containers of garbage cans and bags, with a maximum of four (4) garbage cans per household. Each garbage can must not exceed 35 gallons in capacity, must have two handles, and a tight fitting lid (Code 7-9-5.1). Improper containers will be tagged and not serviced.
Businesses and multiple dwelling of three (3) or more in East Moline are required to have dumpsters for garbage collection. The city does not service these dumpsters, however, businesses may contract with a disposal service directly on their own.

YARD WASTE COLLECTION
| Residents that desire Yard waste collection are no longer required to register with the City of East Moline annually. However, a yard waste sticker is required on each paper yard waste bag. Yard waste collection is on Wednesdays starting the first Wednesday in April and ending the first Wednesday in December. Yard waste stickers and or brush ties may be purchased at East Moline Jewel, both Walgreens in East Moline and at Silvis Hy-Vee at the cost of $1.50 per sticker and $1.75 per brush tie. All yard waste must be out to the road side by 7:00 a.m. on Wednesdays (6:00 a.m during June, July & August). If pick-up falls on a holiday, please follow the schedule below.

Bulky Item Collection
Bulky collections are for large bulky items that cannot go in garbage cans or bags for regular garbage collection. You must contact the Maintenance Services office at (309) 752-1573 to schedule a bulky collection.
Bulky collection service shall be provided up to four (4) times per calendar year for a prepaid fee of $15 per collection. Residents may purchase the $15 Bulky Collection Stickers at the Finance Office and various local stores. Each sticker purchased will provide the resident with a collection of one large dump truck or less. Any collections need in addition to the four per calendar year, shall be provided at the rate of twenty-five ($25) dollars for each addition collection, but not to exceed three (3) additional collections within the same calendar year (Code 7-9-7). |

Free Curbside Appliance and Tire Pick-Up Available for Rock Island County Residents
Rock Island County Waste Management Agency (RICWMA) offers free curbside appliance and used tire pick-ups.
To schedule a pick-up, residents should call the toll-free number 877-934-5378. A new 10-year contract with Weikert Iron & Metal Recycling will allow residents to have up to four appliances and 10 passenger vehicle tires picked up each year.

Motor vehicles or motor vehicle parts; whole or partial building demolitions waste; hazardous, infectious or explosive wastes; and dead animal carcasses (Code 7-9-7).

FREE PUBLIC RECYCLING DROP-OFF site is at Rock Island County Fairgrounds located at Archer Drive and Avenue of the Cities. Residents should enter through gate 3. Items accepted are paper, cardboard magazines, phone books, plastics, metal cans. Site is open 7 days a week, 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
The second drop- off site for East Moline residents is now open at the Engineering and Maintenance Facility located at 1200 13th Avenue in East Moline. The hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Acceptable items are paper, plastic (numbered 1 through 7) and aluminum cans.
Volunteer curbside recycling residents who sent in their survey forms will be contacted by Midland Davis Corporation for the sizing of the containers per household in the near future. The start date for curbside recycling is April 1, 2009. Any resident who is interested that didn't fill out the survey form can still sign up by calling Midland Davis Corporation at 309-764-6723 and say this is in reference to East Moline curbside recycling.
FREE curbside collection of residential WHITE GOODS (refrigerators, stoves, washers, dryers, air conditioners etc…) and TIRES call 1-877-934-5378.
FREE drop-off disposal of residential HAZARDOUS MATERIAL (paint, fertilizer, weed killer, cleaners, degreasers, etc…) call 563-381-1300 for directions and to schedule a drop-off time. Residents only. No businesses or Industry.
FREE drop-off disposal of E-WASTE (computers, monitors, keyboards, televisions, etc…) is located at 1048 – East 59th Street Davenport. Hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Fridays. Residents only, no businesses or industry. Must have a valid drivers license with current address. Directions: West on I-74 to 53rd Street Davenport, turn west (left) on 53rd to Tremont, turn north (right) on Tremont, go to East 59th Street and turn right, take first driveway on left.
