Burning Regulations

Burning is allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, unless designated a no-burn day by the fire department. Fires are allowed only between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and must be attended and not within 25 feet of a structure. A hose or bucket of water must be readily available. Burning in the city is not allowed in:
  • Alleys
  • Avenues
  • Drainage ditches
  • Easements
  • Parks
  • Right-of-ways
  • Streets

Any known violations of these regulations shall be enforced, and may be prosecuted as misdemeanors, punishable by fines up to $500.
